This course is designed as an active-learning module and will combine lectures, case studies (e.g. from software industry, food or luxury goods), simulation games (e.g. distribution, management) and group work.

Aims of the certificate course
After completing this certificate program, the participants will be able to:
- Evaluate the relationship between supply chain structures and logistical capabilities and how these support a firm’s competitive strategy.
- Calculate the impact of key supply chain functions on the financial figures in a firm or supply chain and balance the appropriate costs.
- Explain the challenges and opportunities presented by new digital technologies in operations and supply chain management.
- Formulate an integrated supply chain strategy.
- Understand the fundamentals of operations management concepts.
- Understand the fundamentals of strategic procurement and its contribution to the establishment of a successful supply chain.
- Explain the foundations of logistics and inventory management as integral parts of supply chain management.
