Who awards the certificates?

Upon successful completion of one of our certificate programs, you will receive a university certificate from the Technical University of Munich.

Are TUM’s certificate programs internationally recognized?

The Technical University of Munich is a state university in Germany and has maintained its excellence status for many years.

How much does a certificate program cost?

The costs vary depending on the duration, type of course and effort involved. Further information can be found on the respective website.

How can I finance the costs?

Many companies provide financial support for their employees’ continuing education goals. We recommend that you talk to them. Our Program Managers will be happy to provide you with useful information.

You should also consider the possible tax advantages of further training courses.

What is the scope of a certificate program?

As with the costs, the time required also varies considerably. Some courses can be completed in one day, others require several weeks or even months. With self-paced programs, it basically depends on you personally how long you need to complete the course. In any case, our programs are designed in such a way that they are also suitable for working people.

Can a certificate degree be credited towards my MBA degree?

Whether ECTS can be credited towards your MBA degree at TUM depends on the respective certificate program. You can find out which programs these are quickly and easily via our Program Finder. There you can filter for exactly those programs that allow credit transfer.

What kind of examinations take place in the certificate programs?

The prerequisite for obtaining a certificate is successfully passing the final examination. Examinations can vary from written applications of the newly learned content in your own work context, oral presentations, group work or individual performance.
