Core modules at 2 locations
The Executive MBA in Business & IT stands out as the most flexible program, offering a part-time format with 10 core modules that can be aligned to meet your professional schedule. The program is designed with a thoughtful balance between hosting six modules at the TUM School of Management in Munich and four modules at the Institute of Information Management (IWI-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen.
By following the recommended schedule, you will complete the Executive MBA in Business & IT over two years. However, this program offers the flexibility for you to align the modules to your schedule needs. This includes the option to rearrange the order of modules, enabling a faster graduation within 18 months or, alternatively, extending the study period up to three years.

International Experience
The international experience during your Executive MBA offers exciting opportunities to immerse yourself in and understand other countries from a business perspective. Through pre-selected partnerships with a limited number of renowned universities worldwide, the International Management and Intercultural Cooperation module can take place at the university of your choice together with participants from the other two Executive MBA programs.
You have the freedom to select the destination that aligns best with your learning objectives. Depending on your preference, you will travel in either the first or second half of the year. This flexibility ensures that you can customize your international experience to suit your schedule and interests. Master’s Thesis
The master’s thesis is the last part of your Executive MBA journey. You are required to finalize your master’s thesis within a six-month timeframe, focusing on a topic or project of your preference. The topic or project can directly relate with your current business practices, ensuring mutual benefits for both you and your company.

Just as important as the management knowledge and technological understanding of our participants is to facilitate their personal development as a leader. As you progress through the program, you will be involved in continuous learning experiences centered around leadership and personal development. In this scope, you will have the opportunity to have your personal “TUM Leadership Profile” created. The Leadership Profile facilitates a structured and scientifically sound reflection on your leadership strengths and shortcomings and comes up with concrete suggestions to advance your skills.
