Street Experiments for Sustainable and Resilient Cities

Duration: | 4 weeks |

Cost: | 45 € |
Our streetscape is an ideal place to experiment. We have come to accept traffic movement as the default function of the street. Therefore, we need to rethink its design and spatial distribution, return to its original and basic function, and see them as public spaces – transforming them into places for social activities, where conversations can take place, and places where children can play.
Designing urban space effectively with Experimental Thinking
This course shows you examples of remarkable changes and gives you a toolbox to implement and evaluate street experiments yourself.
In this fast-paced world, infrastructure is growing rapidly and with it comes a new problem of how to use public space. This course is apt for the people who want to bring a change in our built environment and help using the public space effectively. It uniquely combines research and practice: We invite you to reimagine what is possible when we dare to use our public space differently.
