All episodes – each of which is dedicated to a separate subject area – follow the same pattern:
• Introduction and/or repetition of the anatomic principles
• Prelude of the topic through a film
• Classification of the treated injury, e.g., according to AO
• Summary of relevant and current therapeutic options

Learning Tasks
Anatomical principles of trauma surgery and orthopedic trauma care
You will develop an understanding of the anatomical structures that play a role in accident injuries and their treatment.
Understanding of accident mechanisms and their consequences
You will learn about various accident mechanisms and understand how these can lead to injuries, as well as the consequences of these injuries for the patient.
Knowledge of current treatment methods
You will be familiarized with the latest findings and techniques in the medical treatment of injuries, including the classification of injuries according to AO and other relevant standards and the corresponding treatment options.

Structure
Module 1
The first part of this module is intended to familiarize you with managing polytraumatized patients. In the second part, you will be introduced to the principles of fracture management. The third part of this module is the introduction to our tutorial regarding the upper extremity. The fourth and last episode of this module is about humeral head fractures.
Module 2
In the second module, you will learn about humeral shaft fractures. Then, the second part covers the field of elbow fractures.
Module 3
The first part of this tutorial is about two main pathologies of the hand in traumatology. In the second part of this module, you will primarily study fractures of the thoracic and lumbar spine, followed by cervical spine injuries.
Module 4
In this module, You will learn about fractures of the femur.
Module 5
The first part of this module is about tibial head fractures. Then, the module treats two further very common entities in traumatology. In the last part of the module, we finally cover cut injuries and their treatment by means of wound sutures.
Module 6
In this final module of our course, we initially address two further common everyday injury mechanisms: bite wounds, which can, for example, be caused by animal bites and which are often underestimated. The course eventually closes with a detailed explanation of the necessary imaging and correct therapeutic options, which are indispensable to ensure the survival and satisfactory recovery of the affected patients.
